FAQs
Is this a private charter or can I join a group?
Both. You can book a private charter for your own group (up to 6 guests) or join a shared group experience when available.
Is there a minimum number of guests for shared charters?
Yes. Shared charters require a minimum of 4 total guests to operate. If the minimum is not reached 24 hours prior to departure, we will notify you and you may reschedule to another available date or receive a full refund.
Shared experiences are scheduled around private charters and may require the departure time or booked time slot to be adjusted while the minimum number of participants has not yet been reached. Once the minimum is reached, the shared charter becomes confirmed. If a timing adjustment is needed prior to confirmation, guests will always be notified in advance and offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
What kind of boat is it?
We operate a 25-foot, propeller-free 500 HP 2023 Yamaha 255XE wakeboat with an integrated ballast and surf system designed specifically for wakeboarding and wakesurfing. Its jet-drive eliminates exposed propellers for added safety during watersports, while the wake shaper system allows us to dial in clean, powerful waves for surfing or crisp wakes for boarding. Built for both performance and comfort, it’s the same boat shown in the images.
Are toys included?
Yes. We provide a selection of wakeboards, surfboards, paddleboards, and floaties for guest use. You’re welcome to bring your own equipment as well. Please let us know in advance if you have any specific requests.
What should we bring?
Swimsuit, towel, light rain jacket, extra change of clothes, slip-on footwear (shoes are removed onboard), sunscreen (lotion only), sunglasses, a hat, water/drinks, ice & food. We provide life jackets and a cooler.
Is alcohol allowed?
Moderate alcohol consumption is permitted for guests 21+. We encourage a respectful, wellness-oriented atmosphere onboard. No glass containers or illegal substances are allowed. The captain reserves the right to refuse service or terminate the charter without refund for unsafe or disruptive behavior.
Are there any restrictions to protect the boat?
To help us maintain the vessel in excellent condition, we ask guests to avoid spray sunscreen onboard (lotion only) and to apply sunscreen before boarding when possible. We also require towels to be placed over vinyl seating, especially after applying sunscreen, tanning oils, or self-tanning products. Please note that some sunscreens and self-tanners may stain marine vinyl. No glass containers or red wine/staining beverages are permitted. Excessive cleaning, damage, or misuse of equipment may result in additional charges.
Is fuel included in the price?
Yes, your experience includes a fuel allowance covering up to 20 miles (4-hour charter) or 40 miles (8-hour charter) of cruising, with up to 1 hour (4-hour charter) or 2 hours (8-hour charter) dedicated to wake or surf riding. If your group chooses to explore farther or extend ride time, additional usage is billed at $5 per mile and $75 per additional 30 minutes of watersports operation, based on onboard engine data.
Is the Captain included in the price?
Yes, a licensed captain is included in the charter price. Gratuity is not included and is customary.
Are gratuities included in the price?
No. Gratuity is not included in the charter price. Tipping is customary for professional captain services and is greatly appreciated. A 15–20% gratuity is standard based on service and experience.
Where do we depart from?
Departure location will be selected based on your cruising area preference, weather conditions, and ramp traffic to ensure the best experience. Common departure points include Dinner Key Marina (Coconut Grove), Crandon Park (Key Biscayne), Haulover Boat Ramp (Sunny Isles), Hollywood Beach Marina, or Mizell–Johnson State Park (Dania Beach). Final meeting details will be sent 24hrs prior to departure. Parking fees may apply depending on departure location.
What happens if we’re late?
Charter time begins at the scheduled departure time, not arrival time. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to ensure a smooth boarding process. Late arrivals do not extend the charter duration, as we may have other bookings following your reservation.
What if the weather is bad?
South Florida weather often includes brief passing showers that typically clear quickly and do not impact the overall experience. Your captain continuously monitors radar and marine conditions and will adjust the route, timing, or activity plan to maximize comfort and safety. For wake, surf, or paddleboarding, we recommend choosing dates with favorable marine conditions and lower wave heights. If conditions are deemed unsafe to operate, we will follow our cancellation policy.
What is your Cancellations Policy?
Cancellations made at least 7 days before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of departure are non-refundable. Charters operate rain or shine. In the event of unsafe marine conditions (including lightning, small craft advisories, or unsafe sea state) as determined solely by the captain, guests may reschedule or receive a credit valid for 6 months. Light rain, passing showers, or cloud cover do not qualify for cancellation or refund. Because our boat is an open bowrider vessel, sustained heavy rain or uncomfortable sea conditions may result in route adjustments or rescheduling at the captain’s discretion.
